WiSH

You know what it’s like: You’re at home eating your dinner and the sky falls in. Further investigation reveals that you are a chicken and an acorn has fallen on your head. But, from little acorns great oak trees grow and, if that’s true, we might only be seconds away from Armageddon. So, what does Chicken Licken
(for it is she) do? She makes like Nero and goes to WiSH to fiddle as Rome burns. Join her on Saturday May 2nd at Gramaphone.
You may meet some of Chicken Licken’s friends:

Downstairs our resident DJs, Cocky Locky and Goosey Loosey (Kath Harding and Kate Nunn to their Mums), will be playing the very latest in Minimal Techno. They will also be keeping a nervous eye on a hungry looking Foxy Loxy (special guest DJ Rebekah). As quick and cunning as a fox, Rebekah has been DJing for six years and has already toured the world and elsewhere. In our very own UK she is a resident at Sven Vath’s night, Coccoon. She has also played with Mr.Vath, Steve Lawler and Adam Beyer. She has played the Global Gathering main stage for the last 2 years (not continuously, she would get tired) and her Tech, Minimal and Techno mixes are getting her noticed by Radio 1. It’s May Bank Holiday weekend so the weather will be hot, the music will be hot and the DJs will be even hotter. Get your bad selves downstairs and check out the Fox, the Goose and the Cock.

Our DJs upstairs will be Sean Hewson (Wonky Donkey), Ben Jamin (Weirdy Beardy) and La Coop (Dirty Gertie from number 30) - a line up to inspire confidence in even the most anxious of poultry. All the above are frequent visitors to WiSH so not only will they turn up on time they also know what you want and how give it to you. They will be preventing the sky from falling on our heads by playing music from every genre ever, sometimes simultaneously; always with supreme taste, skill and decency. The ensuing Wizard of Oz-like tornado will take us to a kinder, gentler place where sky is sky and ground is ground.

Doors open at 9pm and the first 150 lucky people will get in for £5. The sun will be out. The sky will not fall down. But Chicken Licken might wind up in a bargain bucket

21h00 > 04h00
First 150 people through the door > £5
After that > £10
