‘Techscover’ @ ‘Gramaphone’, a place where people can unwrap and discover new talent in tech-house.
‘Techscover’ involves no pressure on your pockets, by offering FREE entry all night! We all know about the current economic climate, so, we believe that FREE nights are a good option for you! Also, for the first lucky 25 people through the door there will be a free jelly shot waiting for you, and there will be more freebies throughout the night.
Many events primarily focus on established artists; instead, we concentrate on fresh undiscovered artists. Our primary objective is to showcase new talent to different promoters, record labels, managers and most importantly you, the general public.
We are finding fresh talented artists who are under the radar, and creating a space where you can discover them. At every event each artist has 1 hour to perform, and a further 20 minutes to help you to decide who is the best! All you have to do is scream and shout for your favourite artist!!!
The night will be kicking off at 10pm downstairs; however, if you want to grab something to eat before, there is a brilliant Thai restaurant upstairs that serves food all day till 10pm.
The sound system is big, fat, heavy and ready for some low frequencies!
£2 for a Stella bottle before 11pm, and £3.30 on all pints, all night.
Closest tube is Aldgate East and Liverpool Street…

+ Fabio Teti - ‘House With A Touch Of Class’
http://www.myspace.com/fabiotetiakatez
Born in Naples (Italy) in 1988, Fabio Teti is a young exuberant talent that doesn’t follow any particular musical trend. As a child, he was highly influenced by his cousin, who used to play the drums. Followed by his influence, he decided to take music more seriously and, as a consequence; Fabio Teti became a pupil at the European Institute of Music in Rome.
In light of the differences in club music in Italy and elsewhere, he decided to make a move and leave Italy for London, where he met a reputable electronic musician called Marc Ashken who he became close friends with. That’s when he took the plunge and decided to become a local DJ.
His sets are a smooth blend of different sounds with a fine-tasting groove. Fabio’s first project, Aperitivo, was conceived in 2009, with the purpose of mixing sounds rather than following genres. In March 2009, he paired up with Dan Farserelli to start another project entitled Metrik, sharing bills with Anthea, Kiki, Kevin Suanderson, Spencer Parker. As a growing upcoming artist, he secured a residency with CTRL_ALT_DEL, a well-respected warehouse party in London.

+ Ale Doretto - ‘Heavy Drilling Grooves’
http://www.myspace.com/minimalexxx
Ale’s passion for music began at the age of 12 when he started to play the trumpet and keyboard in his native town in Italy. He moved onto playing the bass guitar in a band that was keen to experiment with samples and electronic sound. Ale soon moved to DJing at a local club and has never looked back.
Since arriving in London 2 years ago he has played in many clubs including Cafe 1001, 93 Feet East, Lightbox, Public Life, Crash and he has recently touched Spain, Germany and Mexico. Ale likes to keep his productions to a House beat, mixing with Dub atmospheres, Jazz swings and new forms of electronics, but the DJ set may be more bouncy with a more Techno attitude.
Ale’s own music production ought to be heard, his exceptional style shows confidence and a deep knowledge of the World of Finest Music.

+ Techscover 001 Winner = Nisekay - ‘Warehouse-style techno’
http://www.myspace.com/nisekay
http://www.myspace.com/lokeemusic
Influenced by his early experiences with Goa’s psychedelic trance parties and the techno/house of Ibiza, he was struck by a love for underground electronic music.
Through friendships forged on dancefloors the world over, he established himself in London with involvement in Secret Sundaze and Mulletover.
In May 2008, he rented a warehouse unit in East London with the sole purpose of holding his own parties in his living room. lo*kee was born. His kitchen became the bar and over the next year some of the biggest names in the underground scene graced his decks. With the help of an ever growing techno circus, he is now running lo*kee in a number of secret East London locations.
This commitment has led to his growing infamy on the underground scene and has seen him fast become a feature on some of the best line ups - from organising and playing at an official Fabric after party with Craig Richards, to going back to his roots with long time allies at Birmingham’s Below. His DJ style can best be described as Techno.
With a near addiction to finding those hard found records and a strong belief in experimental style, his sets often feature tracks from all walks of the genre. No smooth journeys or epic voyages. It is music designed to make you dance.
