Back for our second outing at east London’s spiritual home of bass music, Gramaphone’s basement, we’re happy to be callin on the talents of much admired south London DJ & producer Cooly G…

Cooly G, a semi-pro female footballer and UK house producer and DJ from Brixton, South London, describes her sound as having a “deep house tribal dubstep vibe,” and you can see why - Cooly G’s productions exist in their own hinterland - abstract post-garage beats that slowly shuffle into life, dubbed out, with her own cut up vocal snippets singing painterly half phrases.

She’s the second female producer on Hyperdub alongside Ikonika and she released debut single for the label after a string of self produced cdrs. The single got people pretty excited, she was single of the week in the Guardian Newspaper, One to Watch in the Independent newspaper, got interviewed all over and was immediately snapped up for remixes by the majors as well as bookings all over the world.

Trix, well known for her “My Lollipop” tune with Sandy Rivera and her now #2 dance chart hit “Fireworks” with Clearcut will be gracing us with her infectious dance vocals over some well known and unreleased material.
MelleFresh well known for her running play records and recent electro successes on the dancefloor internationally and collaborations with DeadMau5, whos she signed to Play Records for his debut album and first management deal will be flying in From Toronto to deliver the vocal goods and whip thedancefloor into shape!..
Spyda Brown who recently made the full time move to setting up his new studio in London from Toronto a new base for the playdeep division, will be a non stop flurry of cuts and breaks in the mix as he unveils a slew of new dubplates soon to be featured releases on Playdeep
Miss C a familiar name on great events such as cable club, bestival, rise, shush and so on is always keen to surprise with new and original outstanding dance music sending the floor into a frenzy
Keith’rinse it’ Roberts veteran dj and producer and radio host 12 years running!..will be laying out a tight mix of his progressive techfluenced gems that he breaks out on the airways every wed night 8-10pm on shine879.com (shine 87.9FM)
Stephane Lefrancois is saying he is djing, but hes kicking in the mix with the machine Drum Elektron..his new marital partner and soul mate!..the walls and foundations in the basement of the gramaphone have an audible massage on its way!
And Pete Jarvis original founder of Play Records (before handing it over to Mellefresh ) now back in the UK- 3 years into stardaze events will be ramping the vibe with recent 12″ releases that say one thing , dance!

Three ladies running in the Virgin London Marathon 2010 for The Redress Trust are hosting a Benefit Gig on THURSDAY 18 MARCH - they need your support!
